Water Pollution

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans and groundwater). Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharged directly or indirectly into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds.
Water pollution affects plants and organisms living in these bodies of water; and, in almost all cases the effect is damaging not only to individual species and populations, but also to the natural biological communities.
Causes
There are many causes of water pollution;
1. Detergent
We use detergent to wash our clothes but, we doesn't know the effect to the nature.
Detergent is an organic compound which means, it is less soluble in water and eventually, it will be a pollution if we use too much of detergent just to wash some clothes only.
We have to be able to know about the effect to the nature for detergent as it is an important for too.
2. Cans
Do you like to drink coke, or many other that use cans for their container?
Cans can be recycled, but if we throw it to the sea or bury it on the earth, it will become nothing and even some of it will become a pollution.
Solution? You can start recycling on your own, you can use it as anything that will be useful of you or even others. Making a pen holder or something else...
Be creative for this!
3. Thrash
Oh...! You can always fin this everywhere, in the sea, lakes, or even rivers...
Throwing thrash not in its place, it will be a pollution to everyone.
So? Throw it on its place...

4. Chemical Waste
Chemical waste is a waste that is made from harmful chemicals (mostly produced by large factories). Chemical waste may fall under regulations such as COSHH in the United Kingdom, or the Clean Water Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act in the United States. In the U.S., the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), as well as state and local regulations also regulate chemical use and disposal.[1] Chemical waste may or may not be classed as hazardous waste.

We are living in one world, if we still want to live in this world..
Try to change our bad habits of throwing trashes in the river, lake or sea, it may cause of animal's death, not only that, water pollution will also appear because of our bad habits.
The are many other things that polluted our world, but this is the most one that I got.

Thanks
